Profile

Elise specialises in all aspects of family law and has developed a busy practice acting in cases at the FPC, County Court and High Court.

Children and Family

Children: Elise acts and advises in all areas of private law including contact, residence and leave to remove applications. She has experience of acting for Guardians in cases in which separate representation for the child is directed and dealing with intractable contact disputes.

Elise is regularly instructed in public law care and adoption proceedings and has experience of acting for local authorities, parents and Guardians. She has experience of acting in complex cases where serious allegations of child abuse and neglect are raised.

Matrimonial: Elise advises and acts in ancillary relief proceedings as well as applications arising under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996. She has also been instructed in contested divorce and nullity proceedings.

Injunctions and Domestic Violence: Elise has experience of acting in applications brought under the Family Law Act 1996 for injunctive relief and committal proceedings arising from incidents of domestic violence.  

Additional Professional Information

Pegasus Scholar: Elise won a scholarship to work in Washington DC, USA in September and October 2007. During this period she had the opportunity to observe State family law proceedings and work alongside members of the judiciary and legal profession.

Elise is a qualified Public Access barrister.
