Profile

Kay is a specialist Family practitioner covering all aspects of Family Law including:

Public and Private Child Law
Ancillary Relief
Trusts
Wills
Tolata

Her practice has a particular emphasis on cases with an international element, including child abduction and cross-jurisdictional disputes. She has always had a particular interest in human rights, and acted in one of the first cases in the Court of Appeal on the application of Article 6 ECHR.

Kay has given TV interviews in relation to the Children Act and also the abduction of children, in particular the difficulties encountered in dealing with North African Moslem countries.

Kay is a fully trained and Accredited Family Mediator.

Kay undertakes direct public access work.

Children and Family Law

Kay has been instructed by Local Authorities, Parents, Guardians and NYAS.

Since 1984 Kay has given lectures on Family Law nationwide to solicitors and other interested professionals. She has also conducted in-house seminars foe Local Authorities, including Hertfordshire Social Services, on the Children Act.

Publications

Kay is an Associate Member of the American Bar Association and has given papers in New York, San Francisco and Toronto. The paper in New York was a Showcase Presentation on Child Abduction.

Kay has written articles for the New Law Journal and for two years wrote a monthly column dealing with developments in Family Law.
