Field Court Chambers welcomes new Tenant

We are delighted to announce that Sami Rahman has joined Chambers’ expanding employment team as a new tenant.
Sami was called to the Bar in 1996, has since built up an extensive employment practice acting for employers and employees after 14 years practising predominantly as an employment lawyer.
Sami specialises in all aspects of employment law and is regularly instructed by a broad range of clients including local authorities, non departmental public bodies. He is instructed by a range of City, large regional firms and directly by the HR and legal departments of a number of high profile national and international companies. He has significant experience in complex multiparty litigation, appearing both for employers and employees in discrimination, unfair dismissal redundancy and wages claims.
Sami has considerable experience in drafting a wide range of employment policies and procedures, contracts of employment, and matters relating to grievances and dismissals. He also has considerable experience of non contentious employment matters and regularly advises in respect of complex reorganisations, redundancy processes, discrimination issues, TUPE. freedom of information, data protection, the working time, holiday and national minimum wage provisions, restrictive covenants, the use of confidential information and springboard claims.
Sami has a friendly, professional, accessible yet authoritative client focused approach which has generated a loyal client following. He appears regularly in Employment Tribunals for both Claimants and Respondents and in High Court employment litigation.
Sami provides tailor made training courses for HR professionals and several large employers and is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Sami (formerly of 7 New Square Lincoln’s Inn) also has an active professional discipline and civil commercial practice.
