Field Court Chambers sponsors London University Mooting Shield
- Article date: 16/03/2010
For the third year running Chambers is delighted to sponsor the London Universities Mooting Shield (LUMS). The Grand Final will take place on Thursday 18th March.
Member Christopher Stirling will be on the judging panel along with Adrian Beltrami QC of 3 Verulam Buildings; Henry Harrod, Head of Chambers at 5 Stone Buildings; Daniel McKimm, partner at Allen & Overy and James Wakefield of Kaplan.
LUMS is an annual mooting league competition featuring teams of undergraduate Law students from London's Universities. The competition is unique: no other competition focuses solely on London Universities, and it's one of a very few to operate for all but the last round on a league, rather than a knockout system.
The 2010 Grand Final will be between UCL and Birkbeck College.
The Grand Champion will be awarded the coveted London Universities Mooting Shield. Prizes will also be given to the competition's consistently best advocate, to the competitor benefitting their team, and to the team who has captured the spirit of the competition.
