Local Government

Skip to list of Local Government specialists

Members of chambers have, for many years, been instructed to act both for and against Local Authorities throughout the country in relation to matters across Chambers' practice range, including, of course, Human Rights. These areas of specialisation are more fully described under the Property, Family, Commercial, Public Law, Personal Injury and Employment headings above.

Both clerks and members are familiar with and sensitive to the particular problems which can arise when acting for Local Authorities such as, for instance, conducting conflict of interest checks and governance issues.

Chambers is an approved set for both the "West London Alliance" and the "Croydon 10" in respect of Public Law, Child Protection, Civil Litigation, Community Care, Corporate Governance, Employment and Housing.

In addition there is niche expertise in relation to the Public Interest Immunity and Data Protection issues which arise upon a request by a prosecuting authority for the disclosure of Social Services' files.
