Chambers is able to offer specialist advice and representation to both employees and employers in all areas of employment law. We believe that to be effective it is necessary to be both accessible and practical. Employment issues are fast moving and we believe that it is reassuring for our clients to know that we are always on hand to give accurate and clear advice and assistance.
The employment team consists of barristers at all levels of call allowing the clerks to recommend counsel with the requisite level of experience for every case.
Chambers has strong connections with several Law Centres and has been proud to offer advice and representation to their clients.
The work undertaken by members of chambers is much wider than just the core work or representation before the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal and includes:
- Director's duties and disputes
- Drafting service agreements
- All forms of discrimination claims
- Quasi employment relationships such as those under the Commercial Agents (Council Directive) Regulations 1993
- Restrictive covenants
- High Court cases concerning employment benefits such as health insurance and phantom share schemes
- Unfair and wrongful dismissal claims
- All issues arising out of the "TUPE" regulations
- Claims arising from references
Members of the employment team have had some notable successes representing teachers and social workers before the Care Standards Tribunal appealing against directions debarring them from working.

Seminars and training:
The Employment team gives regular seminars as a part of chambers seminar program. However in addition we have taken our seminars "on the road" to provide training both to our professional clients and to seminars organised by our professional clients for their business clients.
